Dash for Donate Life Northwest
The spring walk and fundraiser has a new name, but the reason is the same: connect, celebrate, and inspire gifts of life, sight, and health with your Donate Life community.
Registration is now open, and Fundraising teams and individuals can share their stories to inspire support! Sign up now, start sharing, then, in the month of May at your favorite location(s), walk, run, or roll:
-
1.25 miles to recognize the 125 lives that can be saved or improved by one organ, eye, and tissue donor.
or
-
8K in honor of the eight lives a single organ donor can save.
How do I participate?
REGISTER NOW: This is the first step, with info, here. Early-bird registration is open through March and includes a shirt.
SHARE YOUR STORY: To help fundraise, in registration, or from Share Your Story button, here, create or join a fundraising team. All raisers receive a Donate Life bag, and top raisers get awesome swag.
WALK TO CELEBRATE DONATION: In the month of May, walk, run, or roll 1.25 miles or 8k, whichever you prefer. This can be done on a designated day of your choosing, or in smaller bits throughout the month, and can take place anywhere that you like! You may choose to travel to Mount Tabor to remember previous Donate Life Northwest walks, or choose someplace local that has meaning to you or your family.
You can do this on your own, or make a team and walk together. If you are walking with members outside of your household, please be sure to follow your local COVID-19 safety protocols.
Fundraising
Share your story and connection to donation & transplant to inspire others. Choose the Fundraise option in the Registration process, or here, and you can add your own photos and/or edit the template text. Then, share your fundraiser page and invite others to join you in helping preserve lifesaving programs that inform and inspire more gifts of life, sight, and health.
Use the Give button, here, to choose from the list of fundraisers and make a charitable contribution to support Donate Life Northwest.
MATCH: Because this fundraiser is more important than ever before to preserve the programs of Donate Life Northwest, the family of longtime volunteer, Joseph E. Pollock, will MATCH Dash gifts, dollar-for-dollar, in memory of Joe and his work to celebrate and educate donors.
What else can I do?
SHARE! Send us a photo or video of you or your family walking and we might include it in our compilation video. Feel free to make signs or share in the video your reason for participating in the Dash for Donate Life Northwest. Share on social media using #Dash4DLNW
